Season's greetings with contemporary lighting design

Good garden lighting, well-designed and accenting a great garden, can really uplift the mood. For me, a lot of the time, the lighting follows the planting as I use architectural plants so sculptural forms lend themselves to uplighting. Where there are steps and transitional areas I add downlighting from walls or fences. LED strips are great for ambient lighting set into paved areas, decking or under open benches where they really come to life. Directing lighting through a material such as glass or setting it in water adds a completely different dimension. With the colour ambience of lighting ranging from yellow to orange and foliage from grey to deep green and purple the potential for garden lighting is vast - always creating enchantment and drama.
