KING'S CROSS | penthouse roof terrace
45m² roof terrace | wharf conversion
The penthouse at the top of Albert Dock features a white, minimalist, contemporary apartment. The design for the terrace, therefore, needed to respond to this approach. Light sandstone, white planters and LED lighting link the outside with the interior features. These textures also tie in beautifully with the predominant building opposite - Kings Place - a modern concert hall, with its white stone façade.
The strong geometry of the central planters is softened with silky planting, while two low curved vases at 2 metres long flank the sides. The vases reiterate the shape of the living room elevation which curves into the terrace. Seating is located to enjoy the London sunset and the view to the Shard towards the city.
